PLAYER TWO-ORDBOG

Player Two? Deathmatch? Bliv klogere på gamingens terminologi her. Learn more about gaming terminology in English below.
PLAYER TWO-ORDBOG

PlayerTwo:
Spilleren, der kommer efter Player One. Player Two må nøjes.

Two Player, Turbaseret, 2P:

Samarbejde:

Prøv det fx i Sonic the Hedgehog 2.

Kampspil:

Beat ‘em Up:

Side-Scrolling:
Spillere navigerer gennem niveauer horisontalt.

PLAYER TWO-VOCABULARY

Player Two:
It is not fun always playing as number two in a videogame. Yet for many people, this has been their fate. In the early days of videogames, the second character was often little more than a cheap knockoff of a game’s real hero. Many player two characters are also less central to the storylines of games and feel like unnecessary additions to the gameplay. Being player two can also come with inferior hardware problems. It is fairly common for the second controller to be worn out, or not feature any upgraded functions like turbo switches. This inferior hardware gives the second player a distinct disadvantage during the gameplay. Sometimes, the role of being the second player does not even involve participating in the game directly. Many younger siblings and friends have had to act as navigators over the years, especially in one-player games. Therefore, there is a bit of a stigma about being player number two, and this experience is often overlooked in videogame histories.
